Feb 13th - Update and a Haircut

February 13th

Update:  Phil is feeling the same.  Our daily walks really help us both physically and mentally. Boy, we have had some fantastic in depth chats in the last few days.  He currently can not drive.  He has to think about his spelling and what the next letter should be. His texting is improving, just takes a while.  Phone calls preferred.  His right side feels sluggish.  He is sticking to the Ketogenic diet.  NO sugar, carbs or fruit.  Sugar feeds cancer and we want to starve the cancer.  Incredible stories how this diet has changed and improved lives.  We are so confident this diet will play a huge role in Phils recovery.  He does not like anything on his bathroom vanity as it confuses him.  You would never guess in a million years talking to him, that a tumor is sitting in his brain.

Monday the 20th - appointment with Dr. Belknap to remove Phils staples and to review his pathology report.

Tuesday the 21st - appointment for 2nd opinion with Dr. Sugupta from Emory.  She will review the pathology reports with us.   After our meeting, she will take the findings to the Tumor Board which consists of 6 professionals - neurosurgeons, oncologists and radiologists.  Our son John speer headed this team with Dr. Eley from Emory!

Wednesday the 22nd - we will be anxiously awaiting for a phone call from Emory to see the plan they have for us to get rid of this tumor.

Phil, John and I will then decide what, where and who we are going with.

Thank you Kathy Cash for coming to the house to cut Phils hair.  Now that is service with a smile!

Marty - Phil - Steve from L3
